Set your pup up for success with learning in a group setting. We have a variety of options- from foundations to advanced obedience training, reactive dog support, and introduction to sports. Our courses goal is to provide a safe, fun, and supportive environment for you and your pup to thrive and learn.

Where are classes located?
We offer classes at Paws in the City (Holland) and Your Pets Naturally (Cascade) currently.
What type of training methods are used?
We are certified with our CPDT-KA which aligns with the LIMA (least intrusive, minimally aversive) methods. We provide support with reward based methods and meet our clients wherever they are on their journey with clarity and communication in mind!
Will my older dog/adopted dog still be able to learn?
Yes! It’s never too late to start or continue their learning- in fact, we encourage it! Please do not hesitate to enroll due to your pup’s age!
How do I know what course I should enroll in?
Each team has their own goals and aspirations! If you are unsure which option would be best suited then email, text, or call us- we will gladly support you in finding the appropriate option!
I have a dog who struggles to focus in a class dynamic, what do I do?
We have a variety of options to support all kinds of pups in their training journey. Fill out our contact form and we will provide referrals to what suits you and your pup best!
Class Options

Perfect Puppy
Learn and bond with your puppy with gentle, modern training methods. We will be using reward based practices in class. We will be working to build foundational skills that align with working toward the AKC STAR puppy while also discussing relavent information to navigate puppyhood.

Reactive Class
This course focuses on helping dogs with big feeling develop new coping skills to navigate their world. We focus on providing a structured environment that empowers handlers and dogs to implement the skills we have discussed and gradually challenge teams to conquer their current stress threshold. We utilize reward based systems along with proximity to triggers to optimize success and avoid rehearsal of unwanted behaviors.

Foundation and Fun
This course is structured to provide an introduction to dog training for new handlers or beginner level dogs. This course works on foundation skill building, socialization, and navigating through distractions. Some topics to be covered will be leash skills, coming when called, handler focus, drop it, leave it, confidence building, recall, etc.

Reactive in the Real World
This is an extension of the learning from our pre-requisite course, Reactive Class. This 4 week offering aims to further challenge handlers and their pups in new, real world scenarios and settings. We meet each week in a new Grand Rapids location and add in skills to assist in their continued resilience and confidence.

CGC Prep
This is an advanced class for dogs who have taken courses in the past or have already been introduced to higher level obedience. This course is devoted to the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. This course is a great stepping stone toward Therapy work or just overall being a good canine companion with credentials! CGC testing takes place on the last day of class.
